VideoGuard is a desktop app for healthcare video that cannot leave the department while patients are still identifiable. Import a procedure, teaching, or CCTV clip on a workstation you control. It finds faces, heads, license plates, and on-screen text, lets you hide everyone or only selected people, and exports a copy staff can actually use. The file is never uploaded. A person still reviews before a lecture, quality meeting, or archive.

Install on a clinic workstation
Keep the app in the department. The clip does not need a cloud folder, PACS, or the EMR.

Choose who appears
Scan unique people in the clip, then hide everyone or only selected faces. Staff in shot can stay visible when that is the point of the teaching video.
Manual boxes when AI is not enough
Draw extra regions for wristbands, bed numbers, or a name on a monitor. A person still signs off before the file moves.
Templates for the job in front of you
GDPR Faces, Body Cam, Plates Only, and similar presets so education, ward CCTV, and car-park clips do not start from a blank panel.

Honest limits

What it can do, and what it will not

We stop where a patient chart, a diagnosis, a medical device, or advertising rules would start. Will not do is the work we cannot take on, not a feature we skipped.

Can do

Choose specific people to hide, or hide every face, then draw extra regions by hand
Finish the job on a clinic desktop so the file never goes to a cloud editor
Give education and quality teams a clip they can actually use after a human check

Will not do

Diagnose, score, or read clinical findings from footage. This is a privacy tool, not a medical device.
Connect to PACS, the EMR, or a patient chart. Identifiers in pixels are hidden, not looked up.
Promise that every face, plate, or wristband is caught without a human check. Staff must review before a clip leaves the department.
Host, back up, or retain originals on our servers. How long you keep recordings stays under your own file rules.
Replace consent, camera policy, or a decision about who may see a teaching video. It is not live CCTV monitoring.
